Supplements, as the name states are products that act as a supplement to the nutrients insufficient in our body. These products are not intended to cure or prevent any disease but act like a catalyst to our metabolism and provide nutrients that are otherwise inadequate in our body for better workout results, but it cannot be used as a replacement for a meal.
There are some basic supplements which are essential before or after workout. They help achieve better results and regain energy with better endurance and faster metabolism. Some of the very essential workout supplements are: Fish oil, Testo/ Tribulus, Multivitamins and pre-workout supplements.
1. Fish oil: It contains omega-3 with EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) fatty acids which are beneficial as they help gain muscle and loose belly fat. As it increases the amount of insulin production and hence, prevents fat from accumulating in our body. Fish oil is also good for joints.
2. Testo/Tribulus: It helps balance hormones in the body, boost circulatory system and helps pump oxygen and important nutrients to the muscles for better results while working out.
3. Multivitamins: There are many chemical reactions that take place in our body, Multivitamins act as catalyst to the metabolism process. While working out, one needs more vitamins as the body is performing more functions. Multivitamins are very essential to gain better result post workout.
4. Pre-workout supplements: These supplements are recommended to be taken for better endurance, strength, stamina and metabolism. They also help in increasing the pump of the muscles, and are to be taken 30 minutes before the workout.
